Coriander tincture to support natural heavy metal detoxification
Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) is frequently used in naturopathy to specifically support heavy metal detoxification 1. The effect is based on certain secondary plant compounds, especially chelating agents such as linalool, geraniol and flavonoids , which can bind and mobilize metals.
Mobilization of heavy metals
- Coriander has the ability to remove heavy metals such as mercury, lead, aluminum, or cadmium from cells and tissues – especially from the nervous system.
- It circulates the metals (blood, lymph) so that they become available for excretion.
Support of chelation
- Certain components in coriander act as natural chelators : they can chemically bind metal ions.
- The binding prevents the metals from migrating back into the tissue.
Synergy with other detoxifying agents
- Since coriander can strongly mobilize heavy metals, it is ideally suited for combination with natural substances that bind the heavy metals .
- It is often combined with chlorella algae and wild garlic , which bind the released metals in the intestine and help to eliminate them safely.
